MSU's annual Global Festival showcases cultures of the world

November 23, 2015

Student cultural clubs from all over campus and the Lansing community gathered at the MSU Union for MSU's  2015 Community Volunteers for International Programs’ Global Festival.

The festival featured live performances and demonstrations by over twenty different groups with members from Thailand, Africa, Iran and many more.

The event also featured street food, a gift shop selling cultural goods and booths where MSU clubs shared their culture with students and the community.

“It’s really imperative that we have things like this because it’s a great place for domestic students to learn about all the different cultures on campus,” comparative cultures and politics junior and community outreach and programming intern for MSU’s Office for International Students and Scholars Sohela Suri said.
