Meridian Township police suspect two memorabilia thefts from former MSU football staff members are related, according to the Lansing State Journal.

Earlier this month, thefts were reported by former MSU football coach and Board of Trustee member George Perles and former longtime equipment manager Bob Knickerbocker.

According to the LSJ, there are no suspects however Meridian Township police believe they are connected.

Knickerbocker reported 25 rings from bowl games were stolen on Sept. 8 and Perles reported 13 bowl rings stolen when his house was broken into during the MSU vs. Oregon game on Sept 12.

As of Monday afternoon, Meridian Township police Lt. Greg Frenger was unavailable for further comment.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Meridian Township Police Department at 517-853-4800.
