After his team's victory over Northwestern on Sunday, senior forward Branden Dawson said that the brace on his left wrist will be removed for Saturday’s game at Maryland.

Dawson suffered a stable, non-displaced fracture on his left wrist against Eastern Michigan on Dec. 17 and after missing the team’s next two games, he returned with a brace.

The injury was not on Dawson’s shooting wrist, and statistically, it hasn’t seemed to affect his production. In the four games he has played with the brace, he has averaged 12.5 points and 12 rebounds per game.

MSU (12-5 overall, 3-1 Big Ten) will have a week off before a trip to College Park, Md. for a 4 p.m. Saturday rematch with the Terrapins (15-2 overall, 3-1 Big Ten).
