'See ya later alligator': Chef MaiMai's Eato Food truck moves to Florida

Chef Suree "Mai" Richardson moved to the U.S. in 2015 after growing up poor in Thailand. She met her husband Mark online, and together they started their own food truck, Eato Chef. After five successful years at Horrocks Farm Market, Chef Mai has decided to move the Eato Chef food truck to Florida and continue her business there. The truck was hand built, the food is made fresh daily and the advertising is minimal – but that hasn't stopped her from having lines around the parking lot.

Student start-up Zolli Candy aims to make people smile

Finance sophomore Alina Morse started Zolli Candy, a candy brand that prioritizes healthy options, at 7 years old. Now, studying at MSU, Alina Morse's company employs student interns, takes philanthropic action through the Million Smiles Initiative and works to make people happy through candy.

Communities combat Lansing area's lingering impact of redlining, environmental racism

Redlining and its direct correlation with environmental discrimination continue to infest Lansing neighborhoods. The aftermath of I-496’s construction demolishing Black neighborhoods are still being repaired, and studies highlight Lansing as being more prone to environmental injustice. Organizations in the community are working together to combat the effects of redlining.

'Chicago' to arrive at MSU's Wharton Center

From April 8 to April 13, “Chicago,” the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, will arrive at Michigan State University’s Wharton Center for Performing Arts. Directed by David Hyslop, with choreography by Gregory Butler, based on the original direction of Tony Award-winning Walter Bobbie and original choreography by Tony Award-winning Ann Reinking, the musical will be shown at the Cobb Great Hall.

MSU's Broad College of Business removes CSE 102 requirement

At MSU’s Broad College of Business, taking the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) 102 course was a requirement to apply to the college. Throughout the years, the course garnered a negative reputation among business students for being extremely difficult. However, starting in the Fall 2025 application cycle, CSE 102 will no longer be required to apply to Broad.

COLUMN: My experience reffing an intramural basketball game

Reffing basketball can be hard, but it can also be very rewarding. So, as the MSU intramural Division I semi-final basketball games rolled around, I thought it would be a good idea to throw on my striped reffing shirt and officiate the game. With some good fouls called, odd situations and high tensions — this is my experience officiating an intramural basketball game.
