Night game provides new energy for men's soccer

The men’s soccer team played under the lights for the first time in the program’s history, at DeMartin Stadium in front of a home attendance record breaking crowd of 3,515 fans, with some fans spilling over to the bleachers of Secchia Softball Stadium. The Spartans beat the Dartmouth Big Green, 1-0.

MSU picks up fourth shutout win of the season

After a victory at DeMartin Stadium on Monday afternoon, the Spartans finish with a score of 1-0 beating Cleveland State University. This game with mark the fourth straight shutout the team has recorded this season. The last time the Spartans went 4-0 overall in the season was back in 1968. For senior  goalie Jimmy Hague, this will be his eleventh shutout in his Spartan career.

MSU season comes to end after loss to SIUE

For much of the season, the MSU men’s soccer team found itself in a resurgence. After falling below .500 in 2015, missing the NCAA Tournament and bowing out in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, the Spartans responded with an upstart season, climbing the national rankings all the way to No. 12 in the NSCAA coaches poll.
