MSU has been led on the court by redshirt junior forward Aerial Powers and junior guard Tori Jankoska and the team’s hard work has translated into success, propelling it all season. As one of the top teams in the nation, the Spartans have proven they’re a force to be reckoned with. Despite their disappointing 60-44 loss to top-seeded Maryland in the Big Ten Tournament championship game, the No. 16 MSU women’s basketball team still has a lot to look forward to with March Madness right around the corner.

INDIANAPOLIS—All hands were on deck for both No. 19 MSU and No. 5 Maryland on Sunday in the Big Ten Tournament championship game. It was expected to be a huge game from the get-go with the Spartans entering the tournament as a No. 3 seed and Maryland as the No. 1 seed. Only one team would emerge victorious, and on Sunday it was the reigning Terrapins who would claim the title of 2016 Big Ten Tournament champions by a final score of 60-44.

INDIANAPOLIS—The matchup on Saturday between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 MSU was going to be a thrilling one from start to finish, and that’s exactly what it was, if you’re a Spartan fan. Saturday was the third meeting this season between the Spartans and the Buckeyes, with each prior matchup being decided by five points or less. In the end, it was the Spartans who claimed victory against the Buckeyes in blowout fashion, 82-63.

Graduate student Jasmine Hines went out with a blaze of glory Saturday after her performance helped lift the Spartans to a thrilling 107-105 triple-overtime win against No. 5-ranked Ohio State. The game on Saturday was MSU's first triple-overtime game since 1991.
