This week is going to be about purification.
This week has been one of my worst weeks for exercising. I’ve been busy with work and trying to catch up with friends. Although I haven’t had time to work out as much as I would like, I have been eating healthier. Since some friends are visiting this weekend, I’ve been looking for snack recipes. Normally, they would be happy with a bag of chips, but I want to try and incorporate healthy food. I could always pick up carrot and celery sticks, but I would like to show case what I would call my “increasing cooking skills.”

I always have a hard time eating all of the bananas I buy. Earlier this week, I noticed that I was neglecting my bananas and decided that I probably wouldn’t eat all of them before they went bad. My solution: Make banana bread.
I accomplished my first two-mile run.
Over the weekend, I did something I haven’t done in a while. I made a real home-cooked meal.
Before the rainy weather started, it was beautiful and warm outside. So I started trying to find time to spend outdoors.
I don’t give up. The words “I can’t” aren’t in my vocabulary.
I have my exercise equipment and a refrigerator stocked of healthier food. The next thing I need to do is make a goal.
Apples, watermelons, bananas and salad fixings are just a few of the more healthful foods that are in my apartment. OK, that’s not entirely true, but I did buy apples; I’ve been trying to incorporate more nutritious foods into my diet. Although I may be a college student, it might not be the healthiest decision to eat like one.
The summer movie season is built on familiarity. There is a blockbuster, popcorn-popping, huge explosion, easy romance rhythm to movies that premiere to big box office numbers backed by a tireless barrage of commercials and soft drink containers.
I’m not a fitness guru.
