During Kelly’s freshman year, she primarily practiced in this pool, as it was the designated distance group pool. Kelly specialized in the 400 Individual Medley and the distance freestyle events. After the program was cut, Kelly continued to swim on the club team for the remainder of her four years, winning in several individual events each year. “It was hard to lose the varsity team, but it made me realize that I'm always gonna swim,” Kelly said. “I’m always gonna be a swimmer. I love swimming.”
