Students, community members and legislators met at the Michigan Capitol on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, two days after the Michigan State University mass shooting, to protest gun violence. The message was clear: enough is enough. "This shouldn't be a shared American experience," said Michigan state senator Mallory McMorrow. Student speakers called on state leaders for preventative legislation, "I do not want your promises of action," said ASMSU President Jo Kovach, "I want the action and I want the action now."
