Over the past few months, The State News has been working to follow the constant changes by the Trump administration affecting students.
Whether it comes to the executive orders that work to dismantle the Department of Education, affecting student aid and civil rights probes, to the concerns of DEI being wiped from curriculum and the university in general, we know that these changes affect our population of diverse students.
We see your comments on our social media and we hear what you talk about in the classes we share; we know that this is on your mind.
At The State News, we need your help to know how these policies affect you, whether you’re a student, professor, staff member or administrator.
We want to know the tangible ways you are seeing the decisions from the Oval Office change our campus, and how you feel these changes affect your university experience. We want to hear from Spartans on all points of the political spectrum.
We cannot write these stories without the perspectives of our readers, and we invite you to reach out to us with any reaction to the news you are reading. We’re going to keep searching for stories, reaching out to your student organizations and meeting you where you are, but we want you to know that if you contact us, we will answer.
You can send us story ideas at feedback@statenews.com or through our Instagram DM (@statenews). You can also call us at 517-295-1680.
