Senior guard Tyson Walker was crucial in defeating Marquette on Sunday in the NCAA tournament, scoring 23 points and tallying two rebounds and two assists. This performance did not spare him from Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety's parking division, however.
After returning to campus Sunday night, Walker said he found his car had been towed.
“How I get back to campus and they towed my car," Walker said in an Instagram story posted late Sunday night.

People reacted to this revelation on Twitter, implying the police should not have towed the car because Walker played so well and carried the Spartans to their victory.

According to MSU Police, in order for a car to be towed, the vehicle must be in a loading zone, leased space, university service vehicle space, disabled person space, have six or more unpaid tickets, be obstructing traffic or be in a fire lane.

Despite Walker’s setback, he and his teammates will still play Kansas State on Thursday at Madison Square Garden in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA tournament.
