Michigan State football inches closer to being a top-10 team with each win

Michigan State Head Coach Mel Tucker is relentless, finding his Michigan State football team resetting the standard for the green and white as they sit just outside the top 10 at No. 11 in Week 6 of the collegiate season AP Poll.

The team added another 'W' to their scorebook after easily knocking out Western Kentucky 48-31 last night amid homecoming weekend.

The top two teams have not moved since last week and remain with No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia. Oregon was shot down from No. 3 to No. 8, being replaced by Iowa.

The Spartans were also ranked No. 11 in the USA Today AFCA Coaches Poll and No. 13 in the college student media poll.
