Stolen university vehicle still under investigation

An unknown suspect stole a university vehicle.

The suspect broke into an on-campus facility and stole the keys from the main office between the hours of 5 p.m. Feb. 8 and 8 a.m. Feb. 9.

According to Michigan State University Police, there is an open and ongoing investigation into the incident.

In a warning issued to the MSU community Feb. 9, individuals with information about the incident were encouraged to contact MSUPD at 517-355-2221. MSUPD reported no suspect description, but describe the stolen vehicle as a white Ford F250 pickup, license plate number 003X954.

MSUPD advises members of the MSU community to protect themselves from theft by not leaving property unattended in public settings, locking doors and windows, not letting strangers into secure buildings and reporting suspicious activity to police.
