The Associated Students of Michigan State University, or ASMSU, has released a final list of candidates for the upcoming April elections for its next session.
There are only two general assembly meetings left this semester, and elections for the 55th session of ASMSU will take place April 2-9.
Chief of Staff Lauren Fish said students interested in getting their names on the ballot petitioned to get signatures within the last month.
Each college at MSU is represented by students who attend ASMSU meetings and advocate for the students within their college. Those who are already representatives must run for re-election each session.
Fish said ASMSU’s goal for this election was to get as many students to run as possible.
“Right now, up until elections week, it’s kind of on the candidates to start campaigning, and then April 2 to the 9, we’ll do our job to get as many students to vote and get the word out that it’s elections week,” Fish said.
