The 54th East Lansing Art Festival was held over the weekend of May 20-21, bringing in artists from around Michigan and the Midwest.

Mediums of art such as sculpture, painting and jewelry were seen throughout the festival stalls. Artists displayed a wide variety of original pieces. Emerging artists were awarded free stalls to showcase their works alongside established veteran artists. Dozens of stalls lined Abbot Road and Albert Avenue while the streets were packed with festivalgoers.

Alongside the stalls were stages for musicians to play for the public. Acts who played at the festival represented a wide array of genres such as folk, rock, jazz and creole. They could be heard throughout the weekend.

There were also live artist demonstrations that provided the public with an in-person experience of how artists create their pieces. Artists working with glass, c;ay, metal, canvas, and more could be found in a special section of the festival. Also showcased were live poetry readings and theatrical performances in an effort to diversify the festival's lineup.
