Nassar in MSUPD custody for court hearing

UPDATE 4:16 p.m.

Nassar was released into MSUPD custody for transport to a court date, MSU spokesperson Jason Cody said. 

According to court records, Nassar had a motion hearing at 55th District Court in Mason, Mich. Monday afternoon.



Former MSU doctor Larry Nassar has been released from Newaygo County custody, according to a Michigan VINE Service alert.

The Newaygo County Sheriff's Office said Nassar was released into MSU police custody but would not say why.

MSUPD Capt. Doug Monette could not be reached for comment.
