New charges have been filed against Brad Cournaya, who is believed to be involved with the disappearance of MSU student Krista Lueth on Nov. 11, 2008.
According to records from 55th District Court, on Feb. 10, Cournaya was arraigned on four counts: human trafficking to recruit a minor for sexually abusive activities, using a computer to commit a crime, accosting a child for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime with another person.
A cash bond of $250,000 was set and Cournaya posted bond.
According to a previous State News article, Lueth was 34 and pursuing a bachelor's degree in horticulture, her second degree.
In October 2009, Lueth's disappearance was reclassified to a homicide. Lueth's body has not been found.
According to a State News article, Michigan State Police named Cournaya as a new suspect in Lueth's disappearance in October 2014. Cournaya was Lueth's boyfriend and a convicted rapist. Phone records show that Cournaya was the last person to speak to Lueth and State police say Cournaya dumped Lueth's identification, credit cards and a cell phone on the day of her disappearance near College Road.
