Republican Donald Trump will become the 45th president of the United State of America.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Trump passed the 270 electoral college vote mark.

The Hillary Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta announced Clinton would wait "a little longer" for additional election results to come in.

However, a little after 2 a.m. Wednesday it was announced that Trump will be president.

According to CNN, Clinton called Trump to concede the election.

"I congratulated her and her family," Trump said in his victory speech. "Now it's time for America to bind the wounds of division."
