MSU police record 52 crimes this past weekend

According to the MSUPD Crime and Clergy Log, MSUPD reported 52 crimes were reported on campus during the weekend. Of those 52 crimes, there have been 42 arrests while eight cases are still active investigations. One case is now inactive and one resulted in a citation.

Liquor violations were the most perpetrated offense with 21 arrests while the majority of those arrests occurred at Spartan Stadium. Trespassing resulted in the arrests of nine people.

Two instances of criminal sexual conduct were reported during the weekend: forcible sexual contact and sexual penetration. The sexual penetration case occurred in late September, but was just reported on Sunday.

Other crimes during the weekend include larceny from a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of a synthetic narcotic.
