A new Mediterranean-style, on-the-go restaurant is coming to East Lansing.
Tabooli is planned to open by January 2016 at 515 W Grand River Ave., the former site of Grand River Coffee, which closed during the summer.
Partial owner of Tabooli Fathy Shetiah said the new restaurant will bring a different energy to the block and provide a healthy and affordable option to East Lansing residents.
According to Tabooli's website, the restaurant already operating in Lansing serves a variety of bowls, wraps, soups and salads and sides.
There will be minimal waiting for food, but also plenty of seating and a patio available for customers.
“The food is really, really good. The atmosphere will be exciting," Shetiah said. "We have a lot of interest from the community from people that have come to our store (in Lansing).”
