East Lansing's mayor to be decided on Tuesday night

East Lansing will have a new mayor after Tuesday night's city council meeting. Newly elected council members Erik Altmann, Shanna Draheim and Mark Meadows in addition to incumbents Ruth Beier and Susan Woods will vote to elect a new mayor and mayor pro tem.

The special meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. inside city hall.

East Lansing City Clerk Marie Wicks will administer the Oath of Office to the City Council member-elects Erik Altmann, Shanna Draheim and Mark Meadows.

The mayor and mayor pro tem will then be elected by the City Council and the Oath of Office for those leadership positions will be administered.

Afterwards, the city council will move on to regular business
