Spartan Statue was vandalized by University of Michigan fans around 2:00 a.m. this morning and was cleaned up by 9:00 a.m., according to MSU spokesperson Jason Cody.
The statue was marked with the letter “M” along with Greek letters.
Vandalization such as this usually occurs closer to MSU and U of M’s face-off, although that game isn’t until October 17. It is however, Jim Harbaugh’s first home game in Ann Arbor this weekend.
As for MSU football, it is ESPN game-day weekend and our No. 5 Spartans will face No.7 Oregon.
