The jury has yet to decide on the guilt of the two defendants, 21-year-old student Shan Gao and 24-year-old alumnus Meng Long Li, in the assault of fellow international student Yan Li outside of a karaoke bar last January.
The decision is expected to come tonight, and the judge said they can stay as late as they wish, according to Patrick Crowley, the defense attorney for Shan Gao.
Shan Gao and Meng Long Li are facing multiple assault charges including assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
Their trial has been taking place since Jan. 26 with various witness testimonies and closing arguments were heard Tuesday.
