Mateen Cleaves (1996-00)
Cleaves won a National Championship with the Spartans in 2000, played in six NBA seasons from 2000-09, with a few stints in the Development League.
Morris Peterson (1995-00)
Former forward Morris Peterson was drafted in the first round No. 21 overall, also a member of the National Championship team, played 11 seasons in the NBA from 2000-11.
Jason Richardson (1999-01)
Former guard and forward Jason Richardson (1999-01) was drafted in the first round No. 5 overall in the 2001 draft. Richardson is currently playing for the Philadelphia 76ers
Zach Randolph (2000-01)
Former center Zach Randolph was drafted in the first round of the 2001 draft No. 19 overall. Randolph currently plays for the Memphis Grizzlies.
Charlie Bell (1997-01)
Former guard Charlie Bell went undrafted, but played in 7 NBA seasons from 2001-11.
Shannon Brown (2003-06)
Former guard Shannon Brown was drafted in the first round of the 2006 draft No. 25 overall. Brown is currently playing for the Miami Heat in what is his ninth season.
Draymond Green (2008-12)
Former forward Draymond Green was drafted No. 35 overall in the second round of the 2012 draft. Green is his third N BA season, all played for the Golden State Warriors. Former forward Andre Huston (1997-01) was drafted in the second round of the 2001 draft No. 51 overall.
Recent players
The most recent players to come through MSU are former guard Gary Harris (2012-14) and former forward Adreian Payne (2010-14). Both are in their rookie seasons. Payne was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round No. 15 overall, and Harris was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the first round No. 19 overall. Other players who went on to the NBA include Jamie Feick, Alan Anderson, Maurice Ager, Erazem Lorebek and Goran Sutton.
