Wharton Center is prepping its Cobb Great Hall stage for a portrayal of friendship, loyalty and heartbreak. “War Horse” will be featured from Dec. 5-9 at Wharton Center’s Cobb Great Hall.
The Broadway show is a musical set in early 1900s England during grueling World War I. The musical tells the story of a boy and his horse and the saddening loss experienced by the two. Albert, a young boy, is forced to face the loss of his horse companion, Joey, when the English cavalry ships the horse to France for use in battle. While Joey embarks on his unique journey, Albert faces the dilemma of tracking his beloved horse.
