Crow in Concert
Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow will be appearing in concert at 7 p.m. on Sunday in Cobb Great Hall at Wharton Center. Tickets range in price from $41 to $81, and cost $25 for students. For more information, visit whartoncenter.com/boxoffice.
A Hero A Fake
North Carolina-native band A Hero A Fake will perform at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at Mac’s Bar, 2700 E. Michigan Ave., in Lansing. There also will be live entertainment before the main performance. For more information visit www.macsbar.com.
Sparrow Runs for Cancer
Sparrow Foundation’s Women Working Wonders, or W3, will host the Ninth Annual 8k/5k/0k Race all day Sunday at Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital’s Cancer Center parking deck. MSU women’s basketball coach Suzy Merchant and the team are expected to attend the event, which will raise funds to improve women’s heart and neurological health. Conquest Health and Fitness at Eagle Eye Grand Reopening
Conquest Health and Fitness at Eagle Eye, 15500 S. Chandler Road, is holding a grand reopening on from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7. Formerly the Eagle Eye Athletic Club, the event will toast the renovations recently made to the gym and will pay host to MSU basketball coach Tom Izzo.
