I’m enthusiastic in my support of Nathan Triplett’s re-election to the East Lansing City Council. Triplett is a skilled listener and appreciates our diverse, vibrant and livable university-based East Lansing community. He has promoted positive MSU-EL relationships and has balanced protecting neighborhood stability with student concerns. His demonstrated energy and skills promoting East Lansing services and schools and MSU are worthy of praise. And he understands the importance of protecting excellent city services while promoting fiscal responsibility during difficult budgetary times.

His council work promoting sensible economic growth, while preserving our parks and improving our walk- and bike-ability, has been impressive. I’ve known Triplett since his MSU undergrad days, and he still is intellectually curious, alive and a hard worker too. His comments at council and committee meetings, as well as his published op-eds and points of views, have been thoughtful, respectful to others and well-crafted. He is devoted to family, friends and our community. I heartily urge everyone to vote and to support Triplett’s re-election to the East Lansing City Council.
