Women's golf sits in 10th after 2 days of competition in Texas

The MSU women’s golf team concluded its second day of play in the Spartans’ first tournament of the season Monday.

The women’s team finished day two of three at the Texas A&M “Mo”morial at 49-over par, good for 10th out of 12 teams.

Texas, with a 2-over par, took first place with Auburn and North Texas placing second and third, respectively.

North Texas’ Jacey Chun, Texas’ Nicole Vandermade and Auburn’s Carlie Yadloczky are in first place at 1-under, while junior Caroline Powers leads MSU golfers at 6-over in 10th place.

The tournament wraps up today in Bryan, Texas, with live scoring available at golfstat.com.
