Employee reports purse stolen in Olin

September 22, 2011

A 29-year-old female MSU employee reported a number of items stolen between 11:30-11:45 a.m. Tuesday from Olin Health Center, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The woman put her black and yellow leather bag down on the pharmacy counter in Olin and left the building without it. After a few minutes she realized the bag was gone, but when she went back to the pharmacy, it was not there, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The bag was valued at $100 and contained two credit cards, a passport, a visa, the woman’s checkbook and her Sony Vaio phone, valued at $1,000, as well as her Garmin GPS, which was valued at $150.

There were no witnesses and no suspects. The incident is under investigation.
