MSU will induct 10 members in its Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 1, the MSU Athletic Department announced Wendesday.
The 10 new members include Jim Bibbs (men’s track and field coach), Ed Budde (football), Steve Garvey (baseball/football), Linda Gustavson (swimming), Dr. Nell Jackson (women’s track and field coach/administrator), Ron Mason (hockey coach/athleti cs director), Julius McCoy (basketball), Percy Snow (football), Ken Walsh (swimming) and Lorenzo White (football).
The induction ceremony is part of the “Celebrate 2010” weekend from Sept. 30-Oct. 2, which includes the announcement of the Varsity S Club award winners, the inaugural Varsity Letter Jacket Presentation and the MSU football team’s Big Ten opener against Wisconsin.
The MSU Athletics Hall of Fame currently includes 103 members and is located in the Clara Bell Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center.
