November 19, 2009

Walter Verdehr, professor of violin at the MSU College of Music, will be holding a recital at 6 p.m. Sunday at Hart Recital Hall (Rm. 125) in the Music Building.

Verdehr formed the Verdehr Trio at MSU in 1972 with his wife, Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr, Verdehr has been honored by the College of Music several times — including being named the winner of the Teacher-Scholar and Distinguished Faculty awards.

As a musician, Verdehr has traveled worldwide to perform as a soloist in orchestras and in solo and chamber music recitals in the United States and Europe.

The College of Music is sponsoring the recital, which is free and open to the general public.
