Voting parties help students with ballots

October 29, 2008

MSU students can save money on postage by dropping off their absentee ballot at one of several “voting parties” across campus today.

The Roosevelt Institution and the James Madison College Student Senate are hosting the events, which will include information on how to vote and where to vote, as well as mail students’ absentee ballots for free.

The groups’ parties will be held from 4-7 p.m. at the Union, Case Hall, the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Wells Hall, Brody Hall and the Communication Arts and Sciences Building.

“There’ll be overcrowding on Election Day, and this encourages students to vote early, especially because students don’t have the time to sit in line for four hours,” student senate member Kallie Eisenberger said.
