Fall is just around the corner, and with the change in seasons comes a necessary change in wardrobe. Don’t wait to snatch the top 10 must-haves.
1. Anything plaid or tartan. This Scottish-influenced pattern will be taking over closets by fall.

4. Rich fabrics will help keep you warm on those long walks across campus. Think velvet and cashmere.
5. Men’s-inspired shoes for women, also known as Oxford pumps, are all the rage.
6. Lace detail on jackets and dresses adds a feminine touch to any outfit.
7. Long dresses look great on everybody. If you’re on the shorter side, opt for a pair of wedges to make your legs look longer.
8. Watch for colors such as plum, brown, fuchsia, olive green and deep red.
9. Blazers, sweater vests and anything else that says “prep school”
10. Forget the clutch — fanny packs allow for free hands and look great (again).
