Police investigate fraud charges on credit card
A 24-year-old female reported $523 in fraudulent spending on her Visa debit card between Feb. 11 and Feb. 13, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The card had been missing since 2006, when the woman left the purse on the Capital Area Transportation Authority bus while on campus, McGlothian-Taylor said. The purse was returned to the South Hubbard Hall reception desk, but was missing the debit card and an unspecified amount of cash, McGlothian-Taylor said. The victim contacted police after noticing the charges Thursday. Police are still investigating the incident.
