The conduct of the student section in recent years has been appalling and the university is right to attempt to curb it. However, whoever decided it was an excellent idea to let Zeke the Wonder Dog on the field while Mark Dantonio’s message played on the screen should be fired. It’s quite obvious which presentation the student section is actually paying attention to. Instead, the university should begin refusing to allow such student section favorites as Zeke and the Helmet Shuffle in any game where the student section uses such vulgar cheers.
