Matt Cowan’s letter, Jesus is more credible than State News religion columnist (SN 9/11), tells us that because Jesus is either coming back or he isn’t, the odds are 50/50. Matt is clearly a logical genius. How could a person of such lofty intellect be attending our school? Shouldn’t he be out pursuing more rewarding endeavors, such as buying multitudes of lottery tickets, convinced he will hit the jackpot one out of every two times? After all, when you buy a lottery ticket, either you win or you lose. That’s his logic: If something has two possible outcomes, they must be equally likely to occur.

Matt, please keep your logic (and your religion) to yourself.
