A rear window of a Capital Area Transportation Authority bus was broken between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:26 a.m. Sunday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The 46-year-old bus driver told police he didn't know how the window broke because there were too many people riding the bus and it was noisy. Damages amount to $500.More than $4,000 in items were stolen from an East Holden Hall dorm room between 4-6 a.m. Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said. A 19-year-old female dorm resident told police she stayed the evening at a friend's room, and when she returned to her room at 9:30 a.m., her $3,800 Apple Powerbook, $200 iPod mini and $40 from her wallet were missing. A 19-year-old nonstudent friend of the victim was sleeping in the victim's room at the time of the incident. He said he awoke at 6 a.m. and noticed the door wide open, but he fell back asleep until the dorm's resident returned. The friend was missing $30 from his wallet, McGlothian-Taylor said.Laura Misjak
