"The Stoli Around the World" is an original mixed drink created and exclusively sold at Woody's Oasis Bar & Grill, 211 E. Grand River Ave.

Landscape and nursery graduate Ryan McFarlan invented the drink last New Year's Eve with former bartender Talib Keen.

McFarlan remembers it was a slow night, and a guy at the bar asked for a specialty drink, mentioning that he enjoyed Stolichnaya Vodka.

So what the booze-blending duo of McFarlan and Keen came up with was an alcoholic concoction with four different flavors of Stoli, cranberry juice, a splash of Sprite and some Red Bull on the rocks, all rubbing elbows in a pint glass.

"It would be like a top-shelf Vodka Long Beach with a kick of Red Bull," McFarlan said.

And the guy on that lonely New Year's Eve said he loved it.
