Police briefs 04/18/06

A 21-year-old DeWitt resident reported about $250 in damage to his car parked outside West Shaw Hall between midnight and 6 a.m. Thursday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The back window and passenger side mirror were broken, but nothing was taken from the car.A 27-year-old student reported his $175 cell phone stolen from a lab in the Engineering Building between 9 and 11:40 a.m. April 10, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left the phone unattended on a table. He didn't report the theft until a few days later because he thought someone would return it, but he said there has been about $70 in charges on his cell phone bill since it was taken.Melissa Domsic
