Where are the protests against violence?
Why is it the West's duty to cater to the intolerance of the Islamic world?
Yes, the cartoons are a horrible insult to people's religion, and there is no rational person who believes otherwise. The only thing rational Westerners see is an irrational and childish response to an abuse of free speech.
So where is the outrage against these extremists, who Muslims say represent everything non-Islamic? Why does a private newspaper printing an insult result in boycotts of entire countries, violent riots and many deaths, without any protest against this response?
The issue at hand is not an intolerance toward Muslims and Islam; the issue is why Muslims are violently protesting cartoons that everyone thinks are insulting, instead of protesting those who seek to destroy their religion from the inside out.
