Things in pop culture that might make your life a little bit better

"Capote," a movie documenting Truman Capote's research for his book "In Cold Blood," is released on DVD today. Philip Seymour Hoffman earned a Best Actor Oscar for his realistic portrayal of Capote. Go check it out and see if Hoffman is worthy of the award.

If you haven't tuned in to cycle six of America's Next Top Model, which premiered March 8, go to www.upn.com and meet this season's contestants. Then watch the reality show at 8 p.m. on Wednesday to entertain yourself with these aspiring models' outrageous behavior.

In honor of the first official week of spring, take off those sweat pants and tap into one of spring's biggest trends — '80s style leggings. Forever 21 has them in bright colors as well as black and white polka dots and stripes. Wear with a long tunic-style top or under a skirt.

Pick up Prince's latest album, 3121, which is in stores today. Then blast it at your weekend party — it is sure to be a hit (just don't get a noise violation in the process).

Shave your head. If Natalie Portman can do it, why can't the rest of us? According to Portman, it's a very liberating move.
