The dumb waiter in the north lobby of Williams Hall was damaged sometime between Sept. 14 and Wednesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The damage, which was estimated at $400, was done to the wood trim around the door of the device, which is used as a mini-elevator to transport items, McGlothian-Taylor said. A heat gun, which is used to seal the plastic around large books, was stolen from the Main Library sometime between June 30 and Wednesday, an MSU police report states.The theft was reported by a university employee, who said it was taken from an area accessible by the public, McGlothian-Taylor said.The loss is estimated at $60.Margaret Harding
