Police briefs 04/27/05

An 18-year-old female student reported $205 in cash stolen between 5 p.m. April 11 and 5 p.m. Saturday from her Case Hall dorm room, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The woman told police she had the money hidden in the room and counted it occasionally. She told police when she counted it April 11, she had $225. When she counted it on April 14, there was $110, and she thought she might have miscounted, McGlothian-Taylor said. When she counted her money again Saturday, she only had $20 left, McGlothian-Taylor said.The woman told police she suspected her roommate.Police interviewed the roommate who said she didn't know where the money was hidden, McGlothian-Taylor said.The case is still under investigation.Lauren Phillips
