The Michigan Historical Museum will present its Ethnic Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 7 at the museum, 702 W. Kalamazoo St. in Lansing. The event celebrates the contributions of the state's immigrants and migrants.
The festival will include cultural music, Japanese doll making, a polka band, wood sculpting, Iranian dancing and food from local restaurants. Admission is free.
There is a related exhibit in the museum called "Movers and Seekers: Michigan Immigrants and Migrants."
