A 19-year-old male student said he was assaulted while walking home at about 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The student and his 21-year-old male roommate were walking home, southbound on Chestnut and Wilson roads past East Wilson Hall, when eight to 10 men came up to him and said the student was offending them, McGlothian-Taylor said.The man told police the next thing he remembered was being in his room.His roommate told police only one of the men came up to the student and punched him, causing his roommate to hit the ground and lose consciousness for about 30 seconds. The roommate called police and told the group he did, and then they fled, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student suffered a swollen face, bruising, a cut upper lip, bloody nose and a loose tooth, McGlothian-Taylor said.The case is still under investigation.Lauren Phillips
