A 19-year-old female student suffered minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle at 1:40 p.m. Monday, on South Shaw Lane in front of the Chemistry Building after walking into traffic, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The student walked into oncoming traffic as it was stopped in one direction and did not look for traffic in the other lane. She was hit by a vehicle driven by another female student, McGlothian-Taylor said.The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital by the East Lansing Fire Department and treated for a minor injury to her leg, McGlothian-Taylor said.• A 20-year-old male student reported receiving a threatening letter between 10 a.m. Wednesday and 6 p.m. Friday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The letter stated, "Did you enjoy talking to the police? I'll get you," she saidOn Wednesday, MSU police officers were dispatched to the Natural Science Building on an anonymous call that students were drinking alcohol in a classroom, McGlothian-Taylor said. Police did see students there, but after investigating, they found no evidence of anyone consuming alcohol.The student said he was in the classroom when the police came. He told police the person who made the call might have been the same person who wrote the letter, but he had no idea who sent it to him.• A 22-year-old Eaton Rapids resident told police his car was stolen between 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday from Lot 4, near Olin Health Center, McGlothian-Taylor said.The man told police he had parked his two-door, light blue 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme in the lot before going to the bar, she said.There are no suspects, and the case is still under investigation.Lauren Phillips
