A 43-year-old man was caught stealing apples near the Plant Pathology building on Friday, said MSU police Sgt. Paul Kuchek.The man was reportedly on a ladder picking apples at 7:30 p.m., and he already had filled three large bags. About 500 apples were seized and returned to Plant Pathology, police said.Kuchek said he was unsure if this theft was related to apple thefts earlier this month from the Horticulture Farm."Those happened behind locked gates, but this was right along the road," he said. Police are still investigating. A 20-year-old male student reported a $200 CD player stolen from his car Wednesday evening, MSU police Sgt. Jennifer Brown said.The student told police his Kenwood CD player was stolen from his car between 8 and 9:15 p.m. while it was parked in the second floor of Parking Ramp 2, west of Bessey Hall.Brown said she did not immediately know the make and year of the car. Police have no suspects, and investigation continues. A 20-year-old West McDonel Hall resident reported an attempted larceny between Oct. 24 and Thursday.The student told police a wheel and two lug nuts were stolen from his 1997 Ford Escort. The car was parked in the west side of Lot 91, south of Fee Hall.Police have no suspects, and are still investigating.
