An unknown suspect stole a 2003 Cadillac Escalade from Breslin Center parking lot between Thursday and Friday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A 25-year-old male student left the car parked overnight, then found it missing when he returned.The owner located the car in Lansing by using OnStar services, and discovered it was missing a CD case, $10 in coins and sunglasses worth $300.It is unknown how the suspect started the car, McGlothian-Taylor said. • A $1,400 musical instrument was stolen from a bike rack at West Holmes Hall between Friday night and Saturday morning, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 19-year-old male student set his mellophone on the ground while he locked his bike, then mistakenly left the instrument outside for the night.When he realized the mellophone was gone at 9 a.m. the next day, he went down to the rack, but it was gone, McGlothian-Taylor said.Police have no suspects.• An 18-year-old female student in East Akers Hall woke to a harassing phone call Friday morning, McGlothian-Taylor said.At 7:30 a.m., she answered the phone and heard a whispering male voice she initially thought was her boyfriend. The two talked briefly before the caller asked her to participate in phone sex. When she realized it was not her boyfriend, she ended the call.
