MSU Bike Project to hold weekly clinics to raise money, fix broke bikes

September 9, 2004

The success of last month's bike clinic prompted the MSU Bike Project to hold clinics every Tuesday throughout the semester.

Bike clinics were initially scheduled for once a month.

The Aug. 31 clinic was the bike project's first fund-raising bike clinic, which solicited donations ranging from $1 to $15 for each repair.

The clinic kick-off raised $102, said Tim Potter, an information officer at the MSU Alumni Association who coordinates bike clinics.

Weekly bike clinics will be held in the basement of Demonstration Hall from 5:30-8 p.m., where volunteer bike mechanics from the MSU Bike Project and Michigan State Cycling Team will be on hand to provide minor adjustments and repairs on bikes.
