Horse club auctions stallions for money

September 28, 2004

The Equine Club at the College of Veterinary Medicine will host its first stallion service auction fund-raiser throughout October.

The club will auction off breeding services with 43 stallions - male horses - of 15 breeds it has recruited through donations, said Julie Hunt, club auction chairwoman.

The club has listed a minimum bid for half the retail cost of breeding.

The Equine Club is an organization for students in the College of Veterinary Medicine, dedicated to advancing the education of equine veterinarians and technicians.
